WEEK 9

For our next practice, we will be warming up with our butterfly drill and crisscross drills with defense. Following the warm-up, we will then jump back into our breakout, forecheck and regroup drills before getting into another controlled scrimmage.

I have linked the forechecking video again as a refresher for those that were unable to attend practice, that way it will be a little easier to understand and explain when we are on the ice.

1-2-2 FORECHECKING

Coaches Information
Learn the fundamentals to enter the opposing teams end zone as the defensive team throughout a game. The video here will show what your team will be conducting versus the previous video on Breakout which shows what the opposing team will be trying to accomplish

FINAL THOUGHTS

Jerseys have been ordered and will be in prior to the game, but you will not receive your jersey until you walk into your locker room on the Molson Canadian Cup Game Night. (if you are unable to make the game night, you would have to pick it up from me)

If you have a rental kit, now would be the time to decide if you would like to purchase your own to continue playing or simply return the equipment after the Molson Canadian Cup game. For those who would like to purchase their own gear, we are partners with Pure Hockey and would recommend to see them for all of your equipment needs.

We look forward to another great practice, and we will see you at the rink again soon!
